    Core Value Development of Spiritual Vitality
    Students are taught to love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, and to love their neighbor as themselves.

    Spiritual goals for each student include salvation, discipleship, service, and character development based upon the Word of God.

    Bible training emphasizes the basic fundamentals of the Christian faith.

    The school seeks to encourage and support the ministry of the local church.

    The following spiritual goals emphasize the development of SPIRITUAL VITALITY in the lives of WCA students as they grow academically, socially, and physically.
    To find purpose in life through a personal knowledge of and a relationship with Jesus Christ

    To have a biblical concept of the attributes of God and an understanding of the reality of their dependency on Him

    To recognize that the Bible is God's inspired Word and to possess skills for studying the Scriptures

    To develop attitudes of love, respect, and obedience toward God and His Word

    To possess a knowledge/understanding of the basic fundamentals of the Christian faith as embodied in the statement of faith

    To understand that God is at work in the lives of believers to conform them to the image of His Son and to build Christ-like character qualities into their lives

    To understand the role of the local church, to be stimulated to be involved in its ministries, and to desire to maintain unity within the worldwide body of Christ

    Academic Goals
    Core Value - Pursuit of Academic Excellence
    The school is committed to provide a curriculum of excellence in which each aspect of the academic and co-curricular program is taught from the Christian perspective to enable students to develop a biblical world-view.
    The traditional academic program emphasizes the basic academic subjects in an innovative and culturally relevant manner.
     
    The school seeks to prepare students for higher education and equip them with life skills that will enable them to pursue God's will for their lives.

    The following academic goals demonstrate the pursuit of ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE in the lives of WCA students as they grow spiritually, socially, and physically.
    To participate in a comprehensive educational program designed to meet individual interests and abilities, and to progress through the program on the basis of achievement to realize one's full academic potential
    To master grade-level standards in the areas of language arts, mathematics, science, social studies, and technology
    To integrate biblical truth into each academic area and eventually into each area of life

    To develop rational and critical thinking skills to be able to evaluate, discern, interpret, problem solve, and to make wise judgements

    To develop creative abilities and appreciation for the fine arts through expression and personal experience

    To possess the educational foundation, study skills, and work ethic necessary to pursue God's will for further education and/or employment beyond high school

    WCA is committed to a safe, Christ-centered atmosphere of mutual love and respect between teachers and students.

    Discipline is purposeful, age-appropriate, and directed toward the goal of personal responsibility and self-discipline.

    The following social and physical goals illustrate WCA's commitment to its students' social and physical development in a NURTURING ENVIRONMENT as they also grow spiritually and academically.
    To accept himself as a unique individual created in the image of God with gifts and abilities to be developed and utilized for His glory
    To develop skills for interpersonal relationships, treating others with love and respect without regard to culture, social status, or position since they, too, are made in God's image
    To develop self-discipline and personal responsibility, understanding that choices lead to consequences
     
    To experience various opportunities for service and leadership
     
    To develop a life style of physical fitness, sportsmanship, and good health habits
    To gain a basic understanding and appreciation of our country, its founders, the democratic process and each citizen's responsibility to participate as a contributing member of society
    To develop both good and proper attitudes toward work, finances, marriage, and family, and the understanding and skills needed to establish God-honoring homes
